There's a separate office, a formal dining room, an eat-in kitchen with a breakfast room, and a 24 by 17 living room with built-ins and a fireplace. The roof was replaced in 2021. The third is where it sits. This is northeast Dallas, in the Woodbridge subdivision in the Lake Highlands area. White Rock Lake is about 14 minutes away. Medical City Dallas is about 12. El Charrito's Taqueria on Walnut Street is inside a gas station, and that's part of the fun. Tortillas are made in house. Trompo tacos and breakfast burritos are the big draws.

Etopicafe on Skillman Street is an Ethiopian-style cafe with coffee, macchiatos, cakes, and cream puffs.

For a sit-down breakfast, Lake Highlands Cafe on Abrams Road is known for big portions. JJ's Cafe on Northwest Highway is a busy brunch stop for pancakes and chilaquiles.
